So, I'm off to the US tonight and will most likely end up in tactical gear/gun shops at some point in my holiday.

Is there anything stopping me from buying any tactical gear whilst im over there and bringing it back with me? I'm thinking plate carriers, pouches etc as the good stuff is a lot cheaper- hsgi, 1st spear and other gucci stuff.

I've seen ITAR mentioned a few times, not sure if that's relevant to this or not?

Thanks for any clarification/help :)

If its ITAR restricted, they cant sell it to you without getting authorization from the department of state,

Best thing to do is check tactical gear websites from the US before you go so you have an idea, most of them will say on the items description if they are ITAR

ah right ok cheers, thought as much :)

yeah, ITAR is a lot less restrictive than you'd think for clothing/nylon goods. Anything even vaguely NVG or weapon related though will be locked down tight!
