Hey guys, after going to a couple of skirmishes I've really caught the bug, and recently I've bought my first gun the g39c from asia electric guns, now it comes with an 8.4 1100 mah nimh battery and charger, now I just was wondering whether this battery would last a full days skirmishing (10-4) or if I need to upgrade and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) , also if there's any other kit I need to invest in please leave your suggestions. Cheers guys

if you buy a LiPo battery it'll last way longer than a game, will need a different charger tho.

The site I go to allows you to charge your batteries during lunch if you think it won't last the rest of the day.

Do you have anything you would recommend mate? Like Any specific LiPo batteries?

I'd go for an 8.4V 1600 MaH battery, mine lasts 8 hours on a 3 hour charge. As for LiPos, many guns don't have the Deans connectors for them as standard. LiPos are also more unstable, they will go wrong when they're physically mistreated. And when they go wrong, they go badly wrong. As well as that they need special chargers all the time, if your mate or fellow skirmisher has a charger you need but he runs NiMh batteries, there's no question of borrowing it

So basically I can use a standard charger with that 8.4 1600 MaH battery?

I use a VAPEX racing battery: Lithium Polymer 20C 2200mAh 7.4v with a VAPEX VTE 800 combo balance charger. You do have to be gentle with the charger and make sure it is set up correctly (charges LiFe batteries too with a switch to select bettery type). The batteries don't work the same way as Nimh batteries and will hold there charge better, you also don't have to condition them quite as much as the Nimh batteries.

TacMaster is right tho, if all your friends are using one type and you use LiPo then you'll not be able to use their chargers.

 
You can, but be sure to keep tabs on how long you're charging it for, overdoing it can substantially lower your battery's capacity

 
Alright I guess I'll have to invest in the 8.4 1600 MaH, cheers for all the help guys

 
i have a 9.6v Nimh and a back up 8.4v Nimh which i keep in the front of my Plate Carrier incase it runs out mid game, they are only like 10 pound each and a 8 quid charger. so far my 9.6v has only run out in the dying mins of the day at which point i pull out the glock. but i only shoot on semi so i prob use less battery then normal.

Do you remember where you got the charger and 9.6 from mate?
