Attaching CATs and grenades to PC

How do you attach things such as grenades and tourniquets to chest rigs and plate carriers (using rubber bands, not a sleeve/pouch etc)

I'm thinking of getting something like these at some point for looks:

I've heard this term 'cat' now several times. What is it?

and in what sense are you guys using 'tourniquets'? Do you mean as in medical tourniquets?

Cat is combat application tourniquet, just for show mate
