Are src m4 any good for a low budget

These have some really nice internals. The cheap SRCs are crap and people tend to judge the brand by that but their proper RIF range is very good.

But it's a bit too expensive there.

Check A&K M4s, those are probably currently the best price/value M4s in the not too expensive range.

My consistent experience with SRC seems to be they're alright. Externals are generally pretty good, the fit and finish on my SRC TCC m4 is really tight. Internally they're nothing special but will do. Just be aware that the mech box is generally really soft pot metal, probably won't be a problem but if you're modding it then be careful because the threads tend to fall out with very little effort. They also aren't well optimized, using an ultra high torque pushing 18:1 gears which only gives around 10 rps. General consensus is not bad but overpriced new.
