Anti-Reversal Latches - What's the difference?

Can anybody tell me (or preferably show me) what the difference between a V3 and V7 anti reversal latch is?

V3 is meant for a V3 gearbox and a V7 is meant for a V7 gearbox

Well, yes...

The reason for my question is that the gearbox on the Fa-mas that I'm upgrading takes a mix of V3 and V7 parts. 

I'm not sure which one to get... The gears are V7, but I'm not sure what the difference is between the two latches.

ah okay sorry my bad, in that case im not sure never fiddled with a V7 gearbox

I've never messed with a v7 box, but i've yet to meet the gearbox that took a non-standard anti reversal latch so i reckon you should be fine.
