I've done a full day and an evening at Southwest wargames down at Ivybridge, a very well organised but small CQB site with a very interesting style of game play, lots of shifting objectives during a single game which keeps you on your toes. They have been looking for a woodland site and seemed to have one lined up at the end of the summer.
Unfortunately I don't live that way full time and Devon is a big county so where are you, there is a place north east of exeter and another near Bude in Cornwall. But I haven't been to either of those so can't comment much past that.
