a few questions about my ASG steyr aug a3

im pretty much a newb to airsoft, iv bought ASG steyr aug a3 from JD and im wondering about the battery can i put a 11.1v lipo in with keeping it stock or do i upgrade or put a smaller 1 in and im wondering if there is any other type of magazine than the stock 1 theres not much info i can find online if any1 could help would be appreciated .

I wouldn't advise it. I think the ASG AUG is OEM'd by Jing Gong, who are a company that manufacturer clones of higher quality brands, for a lower price by using lower quality components.

Using an 11.1v LiPo will likely shred your piston and possibly your gears as well. You'll be looking at getting a mosfet and some new gears and piston at the very least before I'd personally risk running something that high through it.

Why not just stick with 9.6v NiHms or 7.4v LiPos?

like i said im new 2 this im not really clued up on the internals yet trying to learn iv got a friend who knows a bit but hes not very good at explaining himself lol i think ill just stick with the 7.4v lipo the battery compartment isnt that big, im also looking at trying to make it more quiet would that involve something to do with the piston head ? and im looking for different mags for it cos the 1 it comes with is a bit crap but all i can find is the same i saw a video where sum1 had modified a m4 mag to fit but i dont really spend the money buying 1 then hacking it up and it not working. thanks for the info on the battery

Piston head and cylinder heads can lower the sound; if it doesn't have them already then bearings in the gearbox ought to lower the sound too, as well as shimming the gears, changing the gears and also, changing the motor.
