How common are milsims? I'd definitely love to give one a go sometime. I kinda like the madness of the skirmishes I've been to but I imagine milsims would be a hell of an experience.

I use mesh for both. I'd prefer to use goggles but all my experiences of them have been so much fogging I may as well be playing in the dark after the first 15 mins. I've been tempted with trying glasses but I don't like the gaps at the sides + the thought they could jump off your face mid game...

Depends if they make them cheap/strong enough. If they are strong enough to survive being beat up a bit and aren't prohibitively expensive it could happen. Nobody is going to want to risk them out in a skirmish if they cost like £500+ to replace.
