The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Just got back from Strikeforce CQB in Gloucester, It was veeeery quiet today. Just me, A couple other guys, One of their kids and a couple of the staff. The two regulars/staff were pitted against the other 4 of us, Started off with a centre flag/KOTH game, rotated around, After a break, The...

That thing looks sick! If you like the ergo of the thumbhole lower foregrip and don't want to replace it, ExE on YouTube has a good wood furniture refinishing guide for NATO's cold war oiled wood type furnitures or soviet style resin coated woods. If you want a different finish, I'm sure there...

Making a cheap fast helmet comfy.

I second this. I have a lot of hair, So I'm usually running a MICH2000 style helmet, But if I am running my fast helmet, The pads are very useful for spacing it so it's comfy, And good harness straps are a must if you're wearing it for a while at a time.

    Opinions on Bipod Foregrips?

Yeah. I'm considering getting a smaller bipod, Problem is just getting one large enough when extended. The 7.62x39 style mags are a little long, And the current grip bipod lets me rest the rifle down upright.

    Other places to chat

Reddit's a pretty consistent hellhole for people asking for advice/help, I've seen. Anyone not omniscient about the subject at hand? Dislike bomb 'em and give a few sarcastic comments for good measure. Non-contradictory good advice is somewhat uncommon. Granted, I rarely use it, But I think...

    Opinions on Bipod Foregrips?

Hi all, As in the title, Wondering what you all think about those foregrips with bipods spring loaded into them.  I've always been running one on my SR47, Since I'm either all in on static position support type of play style, Or running around. It's a stable enough solid bipod, And deploys and...

That 417 is pretty. I'd usually say I prefer the larger 6X ACOG like our aussie pals use on their 417s, But that looks very nice. I hear the VFC 417 has a pretty good kick to it too.

    Jing Gong MP5SD Any Good?

Yeah, I've heard that about it's hop... I don't want to be spending half the day re-adjusting the thing, Especially considering how frequently my guns get clunked against trees, Get sat on, etc while im playing.  Might just save up for a cyma or one of Vorsk's VMP-1X packages if I don't find...

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Strikeforce CQB in Gloucester today. Hadn't visited in a while, So I thought I'd check in on one of their Thursday games. It was quite packed today, (makes sense, half term) with around thirty of us, and we got in a good 3 games in the 7pm to 10pm. A lot of hire kits, But everyone was all good...

    SRC SR-47 Firing On Safe

Hello all, I've just gone through the process of my first gearbox shim. Everything's gone well, Up until I put it mostly back together, And check the fire modes.  Single... Works fine. Auto... As expected... Safety... Fires auto ? So I had a look online, Seen all the usual jazz about loose...

    Jing Gong MP5SD Any Good?

Hi all, Looking for a new cheap-ish CQB tool, And I came across the JG MP5SD. I'm a bit of an MP5SD fan, Plus I'm not looking for too much FPS. Just wondering if it's a little too flimsy for the £120 price range? I do throw myself around alot in outdoor matches, So I don't want it coming apart...

    Airsofting Wristwatches

A part of my brain just really likes knowing the time all the time. Plus, I find it super useful for keeping track of how long's left of the current round, And Its come in handy when coordinating with teammates in a milsim once.

    Airsofting Wristwatches

Bit of a miscellaneous one, But I've recently gained a bit of an interest in wristwatches. Just wondering what (if at all) watches do you lot field while playing? I've seen a lot of interesting picks for watches that can handle a BB or two, I've seen a lot of people that wing it and wear any...

    SRC AK Stock Replacement

Hiya all, The fixed stock mount (lower piece in img) on my Bulldog SRC SR-47 has recently karked it in an incident with a very stubborn countersunk hex screw. I've had a look around and haven't seen or heard much mention of AK stock mounting methods other than the typical folding hinge type...

Trouble shouldering rifle with Osprey MkIV

Re the AK, Yeah, It's a fixed 100 style. I've been looking for one of those stock adapters, Since unscrewing the whole rear end of the rifle's getting a liiiittle tiring at the start and end of each day :^) Been eyeing a Galaxy MP5K, Since I heard they can reach like 310 fps? (for 50ish quid...

Trouble shouldering rifle with Osprey MkIV

My rifle is a little front heavy (SRC AK, AK-100 style foregrips with a 1x40 and vertical grip), So I suppose that'd affect things. Eyepro's some generic goggles with a mesh lower facemask. Had some trouble with the mesh interfering with the cheek hold, But I've managed to form it so it's out...

Trouble shouldering rifle with Osprey MkIV

Hi all, I'll get to the point, I run an Osprey MkIVa frequently, And I've always had a problem finding a comfortable shouldering position with my AEG.  I get the feeling the rubber shoulder pad on the right is a bit too high, As the point where I'd usually shoulder my rifle is only half...
