How to attract new players to Airsoft?

I could have written that! My son was two years older but he as well came from Nerf guns and found Airsoft videos on YouTube.  I was surprised by how much I liked it. It reminded me of the fun part of my army days without the cluster f&@k from who ever could shout the loudest and had more...

    Membership numbers and influence

That would certainly be in the spirit of the Olympic Games ? But it would also be a block buster on TV. Just imagine the USA playing Russia!

    Bluetooth Airsoft Targets

I’ve heard read that so often on social media now that it must be true …. While that might have been how they started I think they now improving on existing ideas. They haven’t come out with some groundbreaking new stuff but I think they are doing incremental improvements.  I don’t have much...

    Bluetooth Airsoft Targets

Hi, I am thinking of setting up a small Airsoft shooting range in the loft and was looking for bluetooth targets that can give you timing and pop up randomly. I can see that there are basically 2 options, the Eshooter Serenity 2 (£59 on PatrolBase) or the WoSporT Target (you can get it from...

    Recommendation

I guess fixed vs foldable stock? The full size one will probably be a bit heavier  Actually just checked. The full version is 4.7Kg while the para is 4.9??? But the full one is quite long at 107cm while the para is between 79 and 92 cm

Recommendation for low profile M4 magazine

Where did you get your’s from? I might order a couple more if I like them during play.  I did some feed testing today by doing full auto into a Gusto box (filled with Hello Fresh insulation material) and they worked flawless.

Bipods - are you still using it or is it taking up space in the shed now?

To all that bought bipods, are you still using them after a couple of games or have they been retired?  I’ve got Krytac Trident SPR with an LPVO , a suppressor and low profile mags, so from the looks a bipod would go with this RIF but I am not sure whether it will be a good addition or just a...

F**king Weather In 2024, Will I Ever Get To Play Again?

    I just saw these stats for rain over the last few years (for Surrey) 2019 – 780mm 2020 – 887mm 2021 – 982mm 2022 – 1156mm 2023 – 1642mm Yeah, definitely no climate change going on here …

Recommendation for low profile M4 magazine

I’ve found these ARES ones https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ares-honey-badger-120-round-magazine-tan and they were actually in stock (only 1 left now). Advantage is that they are half price compared to the EPM-1 S. Regarding Negative Airsoft, he explained it to me why the mag can cause...

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

I played at DogTag down in West Sussex on Saturday. My son conscripted 5 of his friends to join us and at the end of the game they were already checking out deals for IFs (talking about growing the game). The turnout was better than expected with mainly rentals and a few experienced players. I...

Recommendation for low profile M4 magazine

Hi, When I go prone with my Krytac the magazines are a bit too high and the gun basically rests on the mags. Do you have any recommendations for low profile M4 mags? I’ve seen the EPM-1 S but Negative Airsoft doesn’t rate them because of their strong spring (he recommends the EPM but there is...

Repairing pistol magazine (or is it just KIA)

Hi While gearing up for a Skirmish at DogTag today I filled up one of my AAP magazines and it hissed back quite angrily at me. After that i could hear a constant low level air leak from the bottom. Can you repair these mags or are they gone?

    Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic

Love the green Barett. As an ex PzGren (mechanised infantry) we used to wear green Baretts and we were immensely proud of it (even though we were anything but an elite unit)

    Advice for Tactical Helmet

I fully agree with this. I always hated my heavy steel helmet I had in the army so I never got a helmet for airsoft but rather use a boonie. To give a little protection against bumps or bbs I use a bump cap https://amzn.eu/d/cCGtLkP My son uses an FMA Team Wendy helmet which you can get...

What brand BBs are best nowadays? Bang for buck.

And that is where the momentum comes in ? But you are right that the drag increases exponential. Every EV owner will be able to attest that you get a lot more miles out of your battery at 60mph than at 80 (completely theoretical speed of course ?

What brand BBs are best nowadays? Bang for buck.

    It’s called the momentum of mass. It is calculated as p = m*v (m is the mass and v the velocity). A 0.2 Gramm BB shot at 1 J will travel at about 100m/s. A 0.3gramm BB will travel at about 85m/s.  0.2 BB -> 0.2g*100m/s = 20 m*g/s 0.3 BB -> 0.3g*85m/s = 25.5 m*g/s
