Should more sites weigh the bbs during chrono?

This is how I think it should work - as long as there is a significant amount of in-game going on.  And it's fine to profile: bolties, HPA, gas guns (later in the day, don't stop chronoing after the first game), "silenced" Mk23s being used up close, anything that screams "DMR" but is brrrting...

What grinds your gears on forums

There's only two things I can't stand on this forum: posters who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

Careful now: if you're on your phone all game, you might be mistaken for a marshal.

Should more sites weigh the bbs during chrono?

Damn, that's a shame to hear.  How recent was that experience?  They used to be all over it at the old Castlemilk site, including flat bans on Dan Wesson revolvers, and Mk23s with "silencers" (actually barrel extensions).  I haven't tried the new site yet, I've not heard great things about it.

Should more sites weigh the bbs during chrono?

"locked" Spot checking, in the field, with site BBs. Good on you for doing that. More sites should, because anything else is chrono theatre, a way for players to find out if we're likely to fail in-game testing. Most players aren't going to be a problem, so most spot checks will be fine. But...

    Lipo appropriate?

Nah, you're fine. 11.1V can get a little spicy, but 7.4V is spot on for CYMAs and most other toys.

    Comms espionage

Captain Walt, on his radio to his squadtoon: "Moving! Up! Staircase B! In! Significant! Force!" Yeah, no, it's just me and you, mate, and I'm planning to use you as a meatshield. Intercept away, see if it does you any good.

Selling RIFs - VCRA Defence/UKARA Checks?

Nobody said it was illegal to buy, or to own, a RIF. It's an offence to sell, to import (or cause to be imported), or to manufacture a RIF, or to modify an IF into a RIF.  The same offence applies to everyone. The same defences apply to everyone. In practice it's simply not enforced on anyone...

    Lipo appropriate?

Nope, it comes with (or at some point came with) a NIMH battery, as some CYMAs do.  Bin it and go to 7.4V lipo, there's no reason to use steam powered tech.

Should more sites weigh the bbs during chrono?

Sites should be chronoing with their own BBs, not trusting players at all. They should also be checking that some hop is applied, and spot checking in-game, given how easy it is to increase power with springs, gas or regulator adjustments. But that would require preparation to maintain a...

    Li-ion battery in g&g and E&L guns

Their dimensions look right, as an 18650 is (wait for it...) 18mm in diameter (plus the wiring run down the side) and 65mm long.  Well, 65.0mm, thus 18650.

Problems uploading photos and general forum issues.

EX3 appears to be a "file system full" error for Invision, so just delete all the attachments and posts and we should be fine.  ?

    Li-ion battery in g&g and E&L guns

Since you have the guns, and they give the dimensions of the battery, you could cut a piece of cardboard to that size and try it out, rather than trusting "Eh, it'll be fine" from us interwebs randos who have nothing to lose.  Or if you happen to have a couple of 18650 cells to hand, well...

    Gun suggestions

I'm assuming that's an all-in budget including charger, batteries, optics and other assorted gubbins. So... This is a serious suggestion. The SA-C08 and SA-F08 offer great value for money, with quick change springs, decent rotary hops, and well featured fire control systems. Both of them...

    drop the FPS just abit

Yup. The only argument for 0.25g is that Captain Platecarrier is perhaps slightly more likely to feel it.  But I just run 0.2g, it's what it's for.

    Gun suggestions

There's nothing much wrong with (e.g.) a Specna Arms SA-C08 for £120. So, to help us to help you: why wouldn't you buy that?  What particular features would rule it out for you?

    drop the FPS just abit

Oh, those... special people. Their rules are all over the place, they have this silly concept of a "limit" (which is no such thing) and a "variance" (the actual limit). Their figures are wrong too: 0.2g x 328 fps = 0.99J 0.25g x 289 fps = 0.96J 0.2g x 350 fps = 1.13J (not the 1.1J they claim)...
