    In airsoft people tend to refer to those as simply Elcan scopes or m145s. What we generally call an Elcan spectre looks like this   which is the Spectre DR In reality both are called elcan spectres with different model designations

    They actually weigh very little (or you don't really feel it anyway), the bar clamping it to the top of the receiver is where most of the weight is, so isn't that noticeable-  the handguard area isn't very noticable due to that. If that was the only thing putting you off, I wouldn't worry about it

    Just take it off, you're not going to be regassing in the middle of a shootout so when you get a moment just take off the plate carrier. Most carriers I've used I can get in and out of in 10 seconds so it's not much of a hassle

    That should be the standard at all sites and sounds like yours is really on top of it. Doesn't matter if you're a regular and they know your guns etc, checks should be performed everytime

    In my mind every site should have a marshall by the safe zone checking every mag is out and have everyone fire off a couple of shots before entering after each game and then no dry firing once in the SZ. Most players should know better but unfortunately many seem not to.

    If there's no bang rule then always take a single shot to an area that won't hurt too much, just not worth the risk of them getting you back, or at the very least make sure you see them call a hit before moving on

    Yeah doesn't matter either way really, I don't think you'll get much dirt or anything in there to worry about anyway even if left open- most guns you'll see don't even have an ejection port cover

    Oh really? I wonder if one of the two have changed their products recently or something then? I bought some viper ones a couple of weeks ago as i need some quickly and they wouldn't retain anything, sent them back and got some Nuprol ones and you'd struggle to tell them from my WAS ones ...
