I will measure when I get home. It's pretty thick. The velcro only just reaches round to be able to secure about 1 cm of velcro. But it simply doesn't hold. Just walking around the house it fell off.

Okay, so I've bought a Viper Adjustable Leg Holster and a Viper Security Belt. The velcro loop that Is meant to secure the holster to the belt is not big enough to my surprise given they are the same make. Any ideas on how to go about securing it to the belt? I've considered sewing it on...

Yeah. Maybe the best solution is somewhere in between lol But as of yet.. my mags are still holding the gas. I will check them day by day incase of a slow leak. But given the length of time I'd of thought if there was any damage it would have been absolutley fubar.

So I've gassed up the mags with no obvious leaks. Left them to stand for a short while and still no obvious leaking. Fired off about 20 shots from each. No leaks. Looks like I've been lucky.

Yeah I get that it's just an airsoft toy. I suppose my advice was based on the assumption that the 417 being a DMR IRL would be a DMR in airsoft form.. but it appears my assumption was wrong. So ignore me.

I mean the fact it's an assault rifle as opposed to a marksman rifle it's a bit more suited to everything and is more 'adaptable' I'm that sense. So in my eyes as a starting rifle it would be the better option of the two.

I've ordered 3 bottles of the stuff now. I will see how it goes and look at some other stuff if needed.

I would say if you're just starting out a 416 would give you more options going forwards. It's a bit more adaptable.

Okay no matter what I type in the search bar it doesn't work. But I Googled KWA Glock Gas and found somewhere recommending green gas so I've bought some WE Nuprol Green Gas.

Not an L129A1? Im looking at doing one as a project gun over a few years but dont really know what to start with. Although an L86 would be tempting if you could get it somewhere like the one in the middle. Albeit id ditch the bipod for a grip pod and ditch the rear grip.
