The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Yeah, they know and do what they can to prevent breaches, its the catching as identifying some players who are in the game is difficult, especially when they're shooting from positions providing dark and cover and the fast action pace all make for a hard job being able to point out who is not...

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Today it was no hit takers day and overkill day as well as some shenanigans with one player I suspected of having an unregulated HPA and causing 8 to 10 players to leave the game site. Two blemishes are defo 0.2's in a RIF that is chrono'd to spec, that is very clear and what I expect to see...

where should I buy a tokyo marui hi capa 5.1 (and which one should I get)

I got  4 TM's and not one of them a tracer unit... Just to be clear. You have to buy a conversion kit for the barrel, so more on top. I noted that non TM units like the two Glocks I have from WE both came without the box the required threads for the tracer to just screw in to.

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

it was a good game. I shot someone and the BB went down the tracer's barrel.  I was out more than I was in...  It was a nice return after being ill.

    Glass BBs?!

The projectile does... That is the distinction, go above the legal limit, it is treated as a firearm, it is also treated as a fire arm in public. yuet it still remains an item that is for its INTENDED PURPOSE not treated as a firearm until you do something stupid that then makes it illegal...

    Glass BBs?!

Because you can easily injure someone and you will have committed a firearms offence and its pretty much an offence to step outside the limitations of those boundaries described by the legislation. PLASTIC BB not bigger than 8mm The Rif must not exceed 1.3 Joules but many sites work on 1 joule...

    WOOOOOO HOOOOOO NAF 22

I agree that organisation could do with being better sorted to aid game play... It is entirely up to the individual on how much participation they want. I am taking my son because he wants to go and I get to see him enjoying himself, although I can't keep up with him, its amusing and fun to take...

    WOOOOOO HOOOOOO NAF 22

Got my son and mine booked. They were selling fast as I bought mine within a day of opening and the competitor numbers were in the 1200's already..! So it is looking like a get them while you can, last year I booked the last week before bookings closed and our numbers were in the 1500's, so...

The piston failed, no engagement as the teeth were stripped.

    Knackered

Back to Square one as the saying goes. RIF stuffed, broken finger, strained back, kidneys trying to escape and to round it off, I had a bout of something that had me vomiting and retching that hard, I am sure I saw my own arsehole.  It was the retching that screwed my lower back up, which...

Stripping down a G&G GC16 Warthog and replacing the Piston assembly...

I spoke to a gun tech who advised me about a problem with stripping down and gear boxes flying apart... So I will be taking it slowly.

    Prescription Eye pro's

Addendum to original post. In the same game, I had been shot in my index finger and it was painful. Had been hit several times before, yes it stings but this was another pain level, it was like being hit with a hammer. It was painful to touch for days, I was lucky to have a prebooked doctors...

Heads up - proposed changes in Highway Code alert

These new rules have issues already that one Youtuber, a barrister has pointed out, the people with assistance dogs, then I posted a comment about the visually impaired and blind who have no assistance dogs as well as drivers who have literally the minimum vision to be able to drive...  Last...

Stripping down a G&G GC16 Warthog and replacing the Piston assembly...

This is an example of what I am talking about with tubers... You see it complete on the bench and jump cut to (around 2:50 to 2:58)... broke down. Just not helpful if you see what I mean.  What I want to see is that breakdown process and steps to get that step... Also, I keep on asking...

Stripping down a G&G GC16 Warthog and replacing the Piston assembly...

I will have a go at breaking it down, I got a gunsmiths hammer and pin set removal tools as my external examination of the upper appears that the shroud and barrel need to be removed in addition to removal of pins to release the internals. Will see how it goes, I got to make room in my flat to...

Stripping down a G&G GC16 Warthog and replacing the Piston assembly...

I have a G&G GC16 Warthog, I need to strip it to see what broke in it. Any "How 2" guides about? Youtube has not been much help as most are american videos and they start where the thing is stripped down to parts but not the process of how to break the RIF down. A little help, Thanks.

What is reasonable wear and tear for an airsoft RIF?

I have ascertained that the law says different, we all have 12 month warranty on any purchase. I will be writing to the company regarding what the law says. Would you expect to pay £1,000 a year for airsoft RIF's if they only lasted 3 to 6 months at a time? ... thought not. So to be clear...

What is reasonable wear and tear for an airsoft RIF?

Consider that I have been out once every 2 weeks, the maximum number of games I can physically have played is 14 games, the RIF was bought in (late July after double checking)... or about 14 to a maximum of 16 games, all at the same game site. The fact I have had it 6 or just over 6 months...

What is reasonable wear and tear for an airsoft RIF?

What is reasonable wear and tear for an airsoft RIF? I purchased a G&G GC16 back in June 2021, Sunday it died after one hour of game play.  The consensus is that the motor spins and the gears are spinning, the piston is not engaging.  What other reason can there be for a RIF to fail...
