    Cutting a reciever

I should have a spare rail somewhere. I'll have a go at using that as a practice piece. That's probably the safest option

    Cutting a reciever

The casting is solid so that's luckily not an issue. There is a stainless steel pin that locates the barrel that I would need to press out first. The picture is illustrative of the sort of look I'm going for but not exact. At this point I've worked on the mill enough to be confident cutting a...

    Cutting a reciever

It's the sensible option, but no one ever accused me of being sensible

    Cutting a reciever

Thanks. That's a pretty good idea. A little more complex than my original plan to just cut the whole thing down but I'm pretty confident I can mount it square enough to achieve that. I also have access to wire eroders which might be the more accurate option

    Cutting a reciever

That was my first thought but a riser would be bulky and ugly and probably end up being too tall

    Cutting a reciever

I'm planning on doing a custom TAC 41 build and I'm considering cutting off the top rail and replacing it with a higher 3d printed one. I have a 3 axis vertical mill at work that I could use but I'm still teaching myself how to use it and don't want to fuck it up when it's £110 for a replacement...

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

My lite chassis and recon stock arrived for my Tac 41 today. I am always impressed with silverback's plastic quality, I don't think I've come across any airsoft gun that uses better feeling plastic. I still have the full length barrel that came it came with so I'm going to design and print a...

I've tightened it up to keep it secure and that causes it to rub against my neck a little, nothing a collar doesn't stop but worth knowing. I think if you were going to put a holster on it you need it to be a bit stiffer, maybe with a sheet of plastic inside or something. It's pretty floppy so...

They have a piece of elastic you can use to tighten them. Between that and the rubbery material they're made of they're pretty good for retention

Got myself a bandolier and mag pouches that I can thow on when it's too hot for the plate carrier. It gives a kind of civilian defence vibe when you throw a jacket over it

    What have you made?

We got wire edm machines at work so I had a go at cutting some picatinny rail on one. With some work i recon i can manufacture my scar rail in aluminium

    What am bestest acog?

I picked up a Holy warrior TA-02 recently. It's my preferred ACOG style with a battery powered illuminated reticule and a forward mounted red dot. It's still got the ACOG look but just modernised a bit. It's on the more expense side but it works and looks really good

Its not bad. A little on the short side but works well with the short eye relief on the acog. If you need the extra length it's compatible with the MOE extended butt pad if you do need the extra length

Got an idea 💡🤔, dont laugh 🤣

My only thought is if you're going to try adding pouches to a set of dungarees it would probably be worth adding at least a strap that goes round your back. I can just see adding a bunch of weight and bulk to that front flap causing it to hang down and wobbly around as you're moving. All you'd...

The ACOG arrived and it completes the look even better than I'd hoped. This is probably going to be my go to AEG now. There's almost no weight at the front and that MOE SL handguard is so sturdy, lightweight and comfortable to hold

Got the Fixie LT put together. Just waiting on the TA-02 ACOG knockoff to complete the look. I've never been a hand of most of the MAGPUL handguard but this one is great. Looks good, plenty of hand space and feels seriously sturdy

Right I've had a shitter of a week so I've made the most of black Friday for some retail therapy. Should be fun to put this all together once it arrives. Going for that Munitionworks Fixie LT look
