    It might be better for the higher fps and higher weight BB, but in UK we don't use /not allowed higher than 500 fps, and .40 BB will be the optimal weight for it. I am going to do a sniper build soon, and I am not going to bother on drilling the end cap to get the barrel through it....

    Do you mean HYDRO DIPPING? I have seen a lot of people do that, also people do it on real firearms and it seems that the paint is not coming off after a while like it would if you have used a spray paint.

    It's pretty much a piston, which sits in the cylinder, it has rails on both sides to guide the cylinder back and forward when firing. There is no big need to know every single part as you probably wont really need it, as it is not a real gun which you have to strip fully and clean every time...
