  • Owen Gun has a trigger and trigger guard and is now looking nearly complete. Just the stock and hand grips left to be done. I have also ordered the LiPo's and charger ready for it. Beginning to get excited about it now :)

Owern gun has a trigger guard. Just the stock and hand grips and finishing work left before it's ready for me. I can't wait. I have just ordered the LiPo batteries and charger for it.

Looks like I will have to convert to Lipo's. Evelyn's (my Owen gun under construction) battery space has been confirmed as too small for a nimh.

Makes sense to do so, far better batteries

I somehow over the last few days created an airsoft team! We now have a squad of 6 WW2 airsofters in Bristol called Pattern 37.

brilliant - some may scoff at you WW2 lot but at least you guys show how committed you are.

(says the duck that rarely takes anything seriously)

But congrats - you are not the only WW2 nutter down there :)

Would there be any interested in a WW2 Commonwealth based squad in the Bristol area? The aim would be to do a mix or normal skirmishes and WW2 games in period gear. Maybe working on fire and maneuver techniques together. Eventually we could club together to get hold of heavy weapons such as mortars or Machineguns and possibly at some point organise some of our own games.

If I can get into airsoft and a hit further down the line, would younger ones be allowed? (Bear in mind this would be in a year or so probably)

As long as you meet any age requirements for the sites we play at.

Just back from Storming the beaches of South Wales is what turned out to be heatwave conditions despite the weather forecast. Logged into ww2airsoft.org.uk to find that the guy making my Owen gun has decided to give it a functioning barrel release so that I can change the barrel and access the hop unit without tools. Best Weekend ever!

The plan was to take Brit airborne gear for the game and Aussie gear for the social, so I had dry clothing. Day1 was so hot I was drenched with sweat after the hour walk to the beach so Day 2 I went for the Aussie Khaki drill. Best bit of the weekend was storming a huge sand dune and peeking over the top to see the whole German army in a line to my left, all looking the other way. I emptied a Sten mag and racked up more kills than I have ever had in any day's airsofting.

lol- that will teach them, bloomin good when you get the jump on 'em - even better when you got the high ground advantage

I while ago, there was a thread asking what peoples ideal site would be. I thought a beach and sand dunes would be cool, to create beach landing scenarios. Tomorrow I'm off to a beach in Wales to do a D Day based game :)

Yes, but then again, I do too. What sort of a dipstick doesn't check a munition they are about to demonstrate to see if it is inert? I used to think it was a bit over the top that Claymores had 'front toward enemy' on them, but when retards like that are around, you know why

Why would you think a dummy pepper spray that looks like the real thing would be a good idea? Why would you demonstrate it by pointing it at 4yr olds? How do you manage to get 8 4yr olds in the face before realising that you're using real pepper spray? Why was no-one filming this for Youtube?

Anyone from Bristol going airsofting Sun 19th?

Big group of people (30ish) booked into Spartan for a birthday, I imagine it'll be a busy one :)

Liner and chinstrap fitted to my Airborne helmet. Given it a coat of paint. The smell of leather when I tried it on was amazing :)

paint is drying atm. Hopefully my denison smock will arrive Monday or Tues, might do pics then. Geez ppl are impatient :D

the helmet bits arrived. Now all I have to do is drill 4 holes to attach the new liner and I will have an airborne helmet. Except for some reason they made the shell out of really tough metal and my drill bits are now blunted.

Grr stupid magazine. It seems the best I can do to fix Matilda is to get her to shoot but leaking like mad. Evike and Iron Airsoft have no spare parts.
