Without taking the hop unit and barrel out of the gun, a diagnosis and fix is going to be difficult.

One non mechanical cause for ineffective hop is the contamination of lubricants such as silicon oil, which can be introduced by BBs coming out of a mag which has just been blasted with silicon spray.

Silcon spraying a mid/low cap can assist with a seized mag, but can also really muck things up for the hop if too much is used and transference onto the BBs occurs.

Have never used silicon oil on the rifle, I did disassemble and reassemble in order to fix a barrel issue, however this was just a very basic field strip and was talked through it by the zero one gun tech on the phone.

Is it possible this disassembly resulted in the messing up of the hop up, causing it to do this?

Thanks
