I'm the same, my skillset means i've lent on equipment and extracting performance out of it, but there's only so far that takes you and you do end up wishing you were a bit lighter on your feet.

Starting to make inroads to it now, fingers crossed.

The most important thing to remember is it's 80%+ Nutrition, with the remaining ~20% being training.

Make sure whatever changes you make to your nutrition are sustainable, as you'll stick to it.

I also found myfitnesspal to be great for holding myself accountable.

I've lost two stone this year and can honestly say I am enjoying airsoft more so now than I did when I was heavier, even just running that bit quicker or being able to maneuver a bit easier has been amazing! Wasn't done for airsoft but I like that its had an affect on my playing.

Ditto, wasn't for airsoft, but it's had a huge impact. If I had any idea what I was doing I'd consider a Milsim now...

Jump in mate, you'll never know until you give it a go! I do a fair bit of wild camping so the weight loss has helped ten fold with the tabbing.

2 stone of extra gear you can hold right? No?

Yea I feel the same way as I am always heavy breathing which isn't great when trying to aim.

I try to walk an hour every day at a moderate pace and it doesn't sound like much but regular excersize is better than 1 big session every now and again.

I used myfitnesspall for a long time to make sure I knew how much calories were in what I was eating and to figure out what weight for portions at meal times. Once I had all that data I stopped using it but I still weight out for portion control.

You could look at it like that I suppose, I'm constantly working on my physical strength anyway so don't notice weight differentials in my kit all to much its more how I felt lugging myself about without my kit on I wasn't happy about.

I do a minimum of 10,000 steps a day and balanced diet, having a dog is a god send as I walk him for a few hours every day as well. contrary to popular belief you don't have to be a gym monkey to get fit and see results.

Spot on. My "gym" for the past 3 months has been my living room floor, a door mounted chin up bar and a pair of parralette bars.

Wild camping is also a vice of mine, although I've not been since April when I was considerably less fit.

Nevis is cold in April.

Im not much of a fan when it comes to heights so the majority of my camping is done low altitude ? Looking at the lake district next year for a few nights.

Actually just getting out doesn't just do your physical fitness some good but also mental fitness as well which I would argue has to be in the best place for you to even start moving forward with the physical (determination and willingness to try). Once you do they both seem to get better at an equal rate.

Strangely enough I'm sound with natural heights. Man made ones not so much. Probably down to my natural distrust of humanity ?

My mental health has definitely improved, as I'm a lot more positive and motivated now. My previous job left it kinda tattered, so it's nice to be on the up!

I had labyrinthitious (sp?) a few years back and since then its proper messed with my equilibrium so heights just don't sit well with me at all since then. I'm just trying to get the bottle to go on a solo camp but am content enough to go with a group of people but usually its just me and my mate.My job is fairly stressful so any chance to turn my phone off and hit the reset button usually does me for at least a month or so!

You should have made this into a topic. Plenty to discuss.
