yea people hate on the TM d.o.r because it doesn't take standard 5.1 tm after market parts but why are people buying something to upgrade it straight away? It's not even like they know it needs upgrades.
Boggles my mind but then again I threw in the ball bearing spring guide and m95 milspec spring in to my evo out of the box so can I call people out on it? (in my defence if I wanted to run 11.1v lipos under warranty I needed to get the power above 1j which required those parts otherwise I was using expensive 9.9 life batteries.)

It kind of depends on the gun, i have some i have constantly tweaked and twiddled with to get them absolutely perfect, for that 1 game where it will absolutely perform. But likewise i also have the "you live in the bag" guns, that get nothing done to them unless they need it but still perform well enough to do whats needed.
Worth the effort is subjective, you bring what your good at to this sport and if what you're good at is tinkering then yes it is, but if what you're good at is agility or sneakyness then you can lean on that instead without the need to extract that last few feet of range or inch of grouping.
