If you aren't going to put much on it then FMA helmets are decent or emerson MICH 2000 (change the paddings and NVG shroud tho) will do. If however, you are planning on putting a lot of accessories for example night vision then save up for opscore or team wendy bump. The latter are the most comfortable and honestly worth the money if you don't want headaches when airsofting.

If you want affordable but still workable FMA bump is a very good choice .

if you do want to go higher end so you can strap god knows what on to it but don’t want to spend ‘RS’ silly money then I’d highly recommend a Dragon red helmet , around the 100$ mark delivered and there one of the best ‘repro’ helmets I’ve ever seen or used , will take a huge load and you’ll still hardly notice you have it on . ?

I don’t play enough (2 weekly) or ever plan on using nvg’s Etc. Just want something to make a nice pmc/sf style helmet. Sounds like the fma is a good shout. Any thoughts on the Emerson ones?

I prefer the FMA , Emerson I had was good but the FMA has the edge for me

Any where I can bud(reading to that the cheapest I can find !) most recent I bought was delivered yesterday with a team kit order from Gunfire for the princely sum of 12.56 , it’s the model with loads of pads not the dial adjustment headband but seeing as it’s mine and not planning on anyone else wearing it , not a problem as it’s tailored to only fit me anyway !

I don't like how thin the FMA shells are, if you are gonna get FMA i'd recommend the thick and heavy variants. Just for reference, this is my Emerson MICH 2000
