you won't be, a solid aeg is a boon especially if you're at a site that doesn't do refills (or their compressor is down and they didn't think to tell you, as has happened to me)

do it , i went with a wolverine reaper engine + wraith c02 stock , takes 12g co2 cartridges , its awesome!!!   and quieter then a mk23 :)

That's exactly what I was planning. Turning my noveske into a wraith co2 monster. I much prefer the instant trigger response and sound from gas than the wind up from an aeg. I also dislike having to maintain batteries all the time when I can just plug a co2 cartridge and be on my way.

BUT, i'm not sure. I might not do anything and just leave things as is. I'm way too indecisive ahaha.

Hmm, guess i won't do anything. Don't want to make drastic decisions just yet.

Have a mix, leave your best aeg alone and take something else to hpa convert.

Might sound odd but i've occasionally chosen to take the little jg ak over either of my hpa guns, and not just when forced to by lack of air.

Not to forget you still need batteries for most hpa systems, so its not like you're really escaping there.

honestly if you are a serious airsoft player then you would be silly not to, my regret is not doing it sooner and buying some guns when i should of been buying the hpa stuff!! which = money wasted as there not getting used anymore , i know the price tagg isnt nice but think of it as an investment as it will last you a long time and you wont need to "upgrade" or play with it like an aeg ,  ,  the only thing you need once you got the setup is a nice aeg body {also a really nice barrel and good hop setup} for it which can be changed over to something else when you get board of it , im into H&K's so i like g3 varients and mp5's , both of which are v2 gearbox which are both compatable with my unit along with M4'S {fk m4's!!} , so changing it up wont be an issue as getting hold of bone yard rifs  for cheap is pretty easy also you can make up a different front end kit i.e DMR or CQB and can be swapped over in under 30sec's !!! by pulling the take down pins out and swapping over  front ends and fps adjusted to suit very quickly!! ,  the pros outways the cons and yea you still need to use a battery ,although its very small and lasts a very long time , there is a totally mechanical version {semi only} which doesnt use batterys made a company ??  , i know that wolverine are making one now , called the reaper M  , but you would have to wait ...

Ye, that was my plan. With all the shit I buy, I could've complete my wraith co2 hpa kit by now.

The v2 gearbox in my m4 currently is tuned to perfection. So, gonna defo reuse that for a backup v2 aeg. Still not gonna act on it just yet... need to make my sniper rifle shoot straight first.

Funny i have a freind is just the same, keeps wanting an hpa kit but when he's halfway saved he goes off and buys another glock.

Do it. I only wish more people in the UK had come to terms with this 10 years ago. I'm so relieved that I realised how useless green gas is (in most applications) a long time ago.

Plus once you have the rig the main upfront cost is done and adapting it to work with a variety of guns is really easy.

Ahaha I never liked green gas since the start and always wondered why people preach it so much. Hmm, I may have to get rid of my sniper rifle to go for a hpa kit. I don't have that much upfront yet.

ah green gas is fine in the right gun , my ghk's are decent and i recently built this  this kc02 , modified it so its actually bolt action! {to chamber the next round only , still gas powerd}  silent as hell because of that ! and shoots lazer beams! so green gas can be decent too , its just you need to get involved when things leak /go wrong rather then expect it to work flawlessy from the moment its out the box through to 2030 ,  the only downside i can think of with HPA is that it is pretty boaring and bland to shoot , theres nothing to it , no feed back at all , its like pressing a button rather then a trigger , but for airsoft its ideal! and my main reason is stealth ! sooo quiet!!

You mistake 'HPA' with 'HPA solenoid engines' - 2 of my HPA rifles are DG kits and have more recoil than I've ever got from a GBBR. As a power source green gas is deeply flawed for automatic fire in UK weather for 6-8 months of the year.
