I will be doing once I've got the dosh to get it sorted.
Though I'll probably just send it somewhere to get it upgraded and just tell them what I want doing, 'cos I can't think of anything worse than trying to get a high fps spring in a V2 gearbox...
It's going to be between 400 and 450fps and be used in semi only. I'll probably use less than 500 shots a day if I get it shooting how I want.
I'm fairly sure it'll be easy to get a V2 to be decent at that fps. Not cheap, but it won't be too hard. Sure it's going to implode eventually, but it ought to be a while.
Maybe, but they're known to be weak at the front. And apparently getting a reinforced or strengthened one isn't worth bothering with, as it's the design, not the materials that make them weak.
My point before was that in the US plenty of people run M4s on full auto at 400fps for thousands of rounds before fault, so if I'm only using semi, very periodically, at a slightly higher fps, with all the parts specifically designed to reduce stress on the front of the 'box, then I ought to be alright with it for a fairly long time.
