Thing about airsoft is as soon as you put on a hicap, it pretty much becomes a support gun on its own. I suppose if you wanted to, you could lower the spring to an M85 or M90 and fit an upgraded hop unit, which will help your BBs travel further and increase the ROF without putting too much extra strain on the gearset. In the real world LMGs can often have a lower rate of fire than a carbine. For example, the M249 has a slightly lower avg. ROF than an M4A1, but it's designed to shoot for longer periods of time before overheating. Honestly, I think focusing on the hop unit will be your best bet as you're already close to your FPS limit, and your next thing to focus on is your range. In an ideal world, you'd keep the 7.4V battery but run a heavier spring to shoot .40 BBs at 330fps, but we don't live in an ideal world.
