Insurgency I would say is the best 'current' FPS, but no single player option really, only very good co-op modes

Half Life 2 and Episodes 1 & 2. Bioshock Infinite. Consider Psychonauts too.

(psychonauts isn't fps but it's brilliant.)

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. if you haven't played any of them already?

not first person, but Spec Ops: The Line is a bloody good single-player third person shooter. Makes you feel like sh*t afterwards though.

If you want something other than a corridor shooter, try Far Cry 3

I thought all of the MW series were good ( I never played COD 4) but out of the them i think MW2 is the best. Borderline with MOH 2010.

get cod4, the singleplayer is by far the best

Cod2 is good aswell, cod3 is not

MOH front line has a really good single player
