I managed to keep my pair of Turtlebeaches alive for the three years I had them and that was with me throwing them around and raging

Son had numerous TB's but I had the gioteck ex05 - just about held together for ages but they had 3.5mm jack for in ear buds - jeeez that is LOUD with them in there

i've come to realise TB need to be treated with kid gloves on

seem to have very cruddy plasticnear the "slider" to adjust size

They all bust in the end - if anybody says theirs are still going then they ain't playing full on and throwing tantrums etc...

its like taking it out on a phone when you have the hump - you all get stressed when things ain't working out etc....

Boys n their toys and throwing abbbb dabbb's

i had an original xbox 360 headset which lasted me a good 3 years! dont ask how they seemed indestructible until i sat on them.

S

they are designed to break..

if Tonka made headsets you only need to buy one ever.

Sound business sense, make it so it craps out after 53 weeks so you gotta buy another - genius

b1n0gHo5t
b1n0gHo5t
haha yeah..especially when its the same point of breakage on every pair it gets worrying

S
Sitting Duck
not a design flaw - no way

it is perfectly designed to break just about the right time - just like so many things self destruct 53 wks later ffs

you are either very fortunate or just playing less stressy games like MineCraft

just kidding - very lucky in my book

I'm on my second pair of Speedlink Medusa 5.1 surround cans in over 10 years. I think that says it all really. Buy a decent set.

b1n0gHo5t

sorry..loz define decent..because when i pay 80 pounds for a headset i expect it to last longer than 12 months

Lozart

Blimey! The Speedlinks are less than that! I've not heard great things about the ruggedness of Turtle Beach headphones elsewhere too to be honest. I have a feeling you're paying a lot for the name! PC or Console?

b1n0gHo5t
b1n0gHo5t
Pc..indeed it's why i've gone clean off turtlebeach 3 pairs of their headphones have broken in the same spot i moved to sades & they lasted longer..but again same spot seems to have broken

Where are they going?

b1n0gHo5t
b1n0gHo5t
erm i'll sort that out later i suck at explaining (but its the chunk of plastic where the the slider goes in & out of to adjust headphones

Lozart
Lozart
Gotcha. Have a look at the Speedlink ones, the adjuster actually goes up inside the headband.
