Receiver, cover receiver, trigger guard, safety lever and flash hider are made of steel, other elements such as outer barrel, front and rear sight base are also made of metal (ZnAl). Pistol grip, crane stock and magazine are made of polymer. Handguard with rails is made of aluminum.

The 04x series ones are the VFC clones. The bodies tend to be pinned together rather than screwed (good thing). I have the CM045 and it's great! If you buy new it may well be shooting hot though so bear that in mind.

The mags or the whole gun?

Gun came from Viking Armoury (they had a sale on) but the mags came from RSOV. I'd get the gun from Taiwangun.
