I use WAS open pouches, generally good but have got one where the rubberized lining has started to break up.

Good choice. Won't find any similarly priced with the same features or build quality. The only two I can think of are the 1st gen Flyye FAPC and Grey Ghost Gear Minimalist PC but they're both a lightweight minimalist style without the cummerbund. You also get the radio (MBITR, AN/PRC-152?) pouch included with the WAS DCS too I think.

Get the quick mag pouches if possible. Blatant rip offs of HSGI tacos but they're very good all the same. And cheap.
