Unless you want to install any other software. Chromebooks are ok for browsing but not much else I've found.

oh right, but they seem to have good reviews and considering the price i think i might pick one up once I build my pc first

I'd really not bother, get yourself a cheap tablet instead. Tesco Hudl2 is an excellent option. Chromebooks are extremely limited in their usefulness.
