Well, having got my Lowas for a tenner on Ebay, I can't really say a bad thing about them.

people seem to rave on about magnum, not sure if sensible people or not thou

I have magnums and they're great. Comfy, durable and really quiet when running on tarmac. Once you get them worn in that is.

I used to have magnums, sole came off. Go for Lowa or Altberg. For a decent pair of boots you need to pay a fair bit (new that is)

I use Grinders.. handmade in London ftw^^ bit uncomfy when you kneel thou..

It depends on budget, and your preference. For £50 a pair of magnums will suit you fine, but I would never want to wear them in harsh conditions for any length of time. Altberg or Lowa if your budget is topping the £100 mark. I use my Altberg Sneekers daily and they have never let me down.

Sabre sales?

There are some absolute steals to be had on Boots to be fair. I have seen some excellent conditioned quality boots be bought for peanuts by the lads. Not let them down yet. The prices I quoted were New Prices

I may be back in hampshire sometime next week, will try and get down to have a look then
