Do a bit of HIT when cycling mate, swimming too is good. Take cod liver oil in the morning for your joints. If you're looking to burn fat weights training is the way to go.
Unless you go to a gym which is full of under 18s, no one is like that in other gyms. And no, you can't do weights for mainly burning off fat. You cannot substitute weights for cardio exercises. You wanna lose fat? You run. No exceptions. For example, if you have a fat gut, weights won't solve the problem. Yes it'll make the gut look slightly more toned but nonetheless, it's still a fat gut. If you do running AND weight training, you'll have a six pack.
You can get good deals on the multi gyms and weights on gumtree mate, sometimes they're even giving them away. I avoid the gym for the same reason, my locals full of washed up ex bouncers on steroids coming up to 60 lol.
Frizzle, Go to you're local gym, clock all the fatties doing cardio, then look at those doing weights. When you build muscle, you increase your bodys capacity for burning fat, as l...
I also said that simply the belief that cardio is best for weightloss is a myth. By all means you should combine the two but at most 2-3 HIT 20 minutes running sessions per week and the rest should be high intensity weight training
Aye plenty of chicken, turkey and salmon will do you good mate. The "mens fitness : Military fitness special forces training program" is a good book to pick up out of WHS smith. The names a bit of a daft marketing ploy targeted at people with no idea about the military, but its basically a 12 week plan by an ex Royal who teaches you how to get as fit as a Royal in 12 weeks, mainly weights and resistance training with some cardio. includes diet plans, techniques for every excercise and...
and why each things good for you etc, its worth the money. It doesn't require any equipment apart from a suspension trainer and a backpack with weights in it and can all be done outside
i cycle a bit
