Right next to where your drill is?

Sorry....I'm not helping, am I?

Try Airsoft zone, G&p make them and they stock a lot of G&p stuff.

I did try drilling, but to pass two 14g wires meant having to drill a big hole through the threaded part, meaning I would then have to mess about with sizing and shaping a new washer to make it fit and ruin it for if I ever wanted to put it back on the original gun. I suppose its not the end of the world really is it?

As MP said, g&p do a buffer tube specifically for rear wired gearboxes.
