actually, i'm the opposite, i know many, who were cute iccle boys that suddenly dyed their hair black with fluorescent highlights, triple lip piercings and ear piercing, and "bull" nose piercing. Me personally, i think it's not cool. Promotes self harm and suicide.

All for just being "cool" and to "stand out". Being emo back then was just being"emotional", more like empathizing with people. Nowadays, it's been f*cked up by twats that think it's all about status and destroying their looks.

No its the opposite man everyone is becoming fake geeks, its like whats cool has flipped other than that everyone seems to be obsessed with weed and american culture.Well at least for all the 16+ teens i know.

They are not being "themselves" by being "emo", they are just being someone who they are not by being in the dark depths of this "emo" culture. Sorry for the long rant but i feel strongly about this topic as one by one, people i considered "friends" are becoming emo twats.

Actually, y'know what - I've deleted my last status because it'll get moderated anyway, but know this - it's prejudice like this that makes people self harm or kill themselves NOT wearing black and getting piercings.

There's a ginger pr*ck at our school (he says he's strawberry suborn but he's ginger...) and says he's going emu but growing long curly hair......Hmmmmmmm, he says its a type of cult...
