absolutely nothing, Mk18 mod1 is the US Navy name for the SOPMOD Block 2 CQBR. Both exactly the same gun.

Ohh, okay. Only thought they were different because I saw a video where I guy said he was going to buy a new torch to bump his rifle up into the block 2 category.

The SOPMOD (Special Operations Peculiar MODification) accessory sets were released in 'blocks', block 1, 1.5 (sort of) and 2, block 1 was quite a long time ago and contains older stuff like the PEQ2, Aimpoint Comp2, TA01ACOG, the RIS/RAS is also a part of the 'block' kit and for block 1 is was the KAC RIS which was a drop-in replacement for the standard M4A1 handguard. Block 2 is more recent and contains stuff like the LA-5 PEQ15 (much higher power than a standard PEQ15), ins...

insight M6x, TA31 ACOG, Elcan Spectre DR, etc. The RIS chosen for SOPMOD block 2 was the Daniel Defence RIS2 in either 9.5" for CQBR or 12.5" for M4A1 rifles. That said, the base gun can be a block1 or 2 irrespective of the accessories on it, loads of photos have been seen of guys with block 1 accessories on block 2 rifles and vice versa.
