Aight, Cheers - I was confused because the slide doesn't look like 51% of the gun - I'd much rather it's just the slide though. Also - I'd rather a metal slide, so if I were to swap it out, would it be illegal considering I'm removing the two-toning?

I believe that if you do anything to alter the appearance of a gun which removes the fact that 51% of the gun is brightly coloured then it would be illegal.

well.... if you sprayed the replacement slide in a legal two tone colour *before* the replacement, you would not have manufactured a RIF.. rather a IF.. not sure if under 18 are allowed to manufacture IFs, but guessing your dad could swap the slide.

*nitpicking: EXCEPT that I doubt the slide IS 50%+ of the gun.. so you would have manufactured a RIF (and the shop would have sold you one).. but tbh, I would not be bothered about that aspect, slide seems generally accepted as a two t...

Well, Jumping on Russells boat - It will be for airsoft, It'll stay in a case tucked away until a game day; unless ofc I need to clean it / repair it.
