If your base gun is an ares, don't bother, the stress you'll go through will be unreal. I'd also be cautious of the vfc. Their Ashbury internally was a bit of a mess.

Well I've just started a KJW M700 project. Roughly similar rifles.

Didn't cost too much and I had some great help from TacMaster and many other guys on this forum. Maybe it's worth chatting with Tac as he's done the whole job.

MY planned base gun, will need magwell dremmelled, stock painted, trades covered, barrel changed for tapered one, front nv optic rail made or bought, aswell as optic, bipod and usual vsr upgrades so I'm tempted by the low cost of the base but scared of the full outlay. That is a big list there haha. It's always up to you though, spring rifles tend to be more pricy to upgrade than gas snipers with the cylinder, cylinder head, spring, reenforced trigger sears etc. I was a spring sniper for three years and mostly used the Tokyo Marui Mk96.

New to gas rifles so I'm interested to see how this turns out!
