You have to lock them to semi for it to be classed as a DMR.

So you can't even do it, really

are you talking about a gun thats just called a DMR or one thats been built as one?? cos shops call things DMR but there are only like 330FPS.

DMRs are accurised versions of normal assault and battke rifles. It would cost the manufacturer more to cancel the feature when making them so they leave it to the buyers.

I mean built as DMR's.

thought so, i dunno why people would do that cos if i site catches them then the gun will be banned as a hot gun.

US market? They can have 400 FPS full auto. Not sure about 450+ but for them full auto mode doesn't have to be disabled.

i bet you there are people with 400fps guns around, i had a guy at cool under fire even tell me his runs at just over 400 but still on full auto.

I always assumed it was handy to leave the feature there for the guns when buying them stock, as firing quickly on semi can often lock the gearbox up and flicking to auto is the easiest way to unlock them.
