you running it on a high end pc or a laptop?

I wouldn't say high end, but it's a gaming PC. I'm refreshing steam files now and I deleted the appcache folder but that didn't do anything.

hmmmmmm... dunno man, you may need to reinstall it... but keep trying. The game itself loads up instantly, no waiting at all.

Flushed app files, verified game cache and tried the first troubleshooting method here:

Delete clientregistry.blob Change steam start up properties for the game such as: -novid -windowed etc

Try disabling your anti virus when launching.

Don't really want to disable antivirus right now because it told me it had just got rid of a Trojan a few minutes ago :0

Who needs anti viruses when you have malware bytes and windows defender! Seriously though, you don't really need it and it will boost performence.

Will deleting the client registry mean other things are deleted though? Anything I preferablly need to do before or after deleting it? I'll change the properties now

Changing Insurgency's start up settings to -windowed didn't do anything. Looks like I'll have to fix the user data profile error first before it can work -_- :|

Deleting Clientregistry.blob basically refreshes steam and all your games. It doesnt harm anything as when you delete it and launch steam it makes a new one.
