read such mixed reviews on the E&L, some say its real sword on a cheaper price tag. some reviews are much grimmer. but think some of them are due to early issues and other because their trades are a bit off. anyone got a link to a decent thread about them that is not filled with Russian gear enthusiasts?
E&L cannot touch Realsword in any way, that's a fact. Realsword is made from demilled norinco, full pinned construction and 1:1 dimensions. Dimension and construction wise E&L is cloned off LCT with some design changes such as a beefier stock hinge and a cast faux bolt instead of the welded one from LCT. E&L also has poorer quality oxidization which comes off easily on cast parts, cast parts are also not machine finished like on LCT and E&L generally has more external blemish...
E&L generally has more external blemishes. That said, the externals are very strong and on par with LCT. Internals wise the gearbox appears to use mainly A&K parts along with standard ACM. However the quality of the gearbox is good,XYT gears,Strong POM piston, good air seal parts and a 22TPA motor. The hop up unit is a Prowin clone and very good performing. Maekii from Airsoft mechanics was very impressed. Overall you're getting an LCT with blemishes and better internals- IMO E...
IMO E&L are overpriced for what they are,the price does not really reflect the quality despite the good internals. However if they were sold at the 200 pound mark they would probably be the best bang for buck AKs around, easily toppling CYMA and Dboys.
If price and aesthetics was no factor, then It would be a tie. VFC would win durability and external quality wise due to the full pinned construction, however it is let down by mediocre internals and a poor hop up unit. E&L wins out in internals but loses out in external durability due to the front end being assembled LCT style with two grub screws that love to come loose over time. Hence why I choose RealSword to be the winner in the AK race and even they lose points since they don't d...
