Ever played Operation Flashpoint?

After playing Arma 2, OPF feels really restricting IMO.

Really? The old OpFlash games were about as free roaming as they get! If you mean the newer ones though I know what you're saying.

So, which do you prefer? Arma

2 or Arma 3?

If you want to play the game for mods such as wasteland or dayZ i would pick arma 2, however considering further updates, developement, mods, etc will be implemented into arma 3, id pick that.

Don't you think 3 is too broken to be able to do much with still? I much prefer 2 in every aspect, apart from the different shooting stances

Im not really one of those guys to get too in depth when it comes to video games, for me arma 3 looks beautiful and apart from a few bugs i really enjoy playing it. I have fallen in love with altis life too. Despite the fact i keep getting banned -.-

in my opinion, if the devs stopped worrying about bringing out new content and just fixed the current issues, arma would be perfect.

Yeah, if they sorted the netcode on ArmA3 out, I'd probably move over to that from ArmA2. But, as it is, I find it pretty much unplayable in combat situations (most of the game). ArmA2's not great, but it's a lot better

Wish I could join you, however my hunk of junk computer is not capable of running videos games even on lowest settings..

I even spent the £30 buying the whole ARMA 2 pack only to find out my computer doesn't like games despite being above the minimum settings.

Bad luck huh.

dedsec, have you tried turning down your video settings and resolution? I found out turning down the reso helped me alot

Zak, yes I tried that but my computer is very old. Got it when Windows 7 first came out.

So not that old then...

my laptop was bought when win vista came out and i can run arma on low graphics? no upgrades on to the laptop either!

Old when compared to today's gaming laptops and computers. I bought it solely for working but despite having 4GB of Ram and an Intel core I3 processor ARMA is far too laggy even on low resolution.
