From what I've heard they're okay but the string can break after a while, thus making them useless. They don't eliminate the annoying rattling but you don't have to do any winding. There must be something bad about them because otherwise I would expect more people to have them. I'd personally rather buy a box of mid-caps for £30-£50 rather than 2-3 flash mags.

I have a flash mag, a couple of normal HiCaps and several mid caps. There's nothing wroing with flash mags, they're quicker to wind than a normal hi cap, the pull cord is actually a thin braided wire (not string) so it's pretty strong.

I guess those problems I mentioned are with the cheaper ones then. Lonex on the other hand are a good brand.
