I dont know much about ballistic effects on the human body but going through and through to me would leave the person better off assuming it didnt hit anything vital. If the bullet stops in the body it would transfer a lot of kinetic energy on the impact whereas one going straight through would surely retain much more energy as it leaves. That's purely conjecture though so dont take it as fact.

It's internal damage vs blood loss. A through and through would cause you to bleed out faster but would be easier to treat if medics got there in time.

Good point, it becoming infected or other nasty stuff would be more likely too I guess.

I vote we shoot frizzle with both a few times each and see what happens.

Lol, I've read a few things here and there that say the Russian cartridge is generally deemed the more deadly of the two because it fragments inside the body and doesn't pass through.

It's got a nickname like "Poison dart" or something weird but I can never remember what it is.

The NATO 5.56 is quite commonly attacked for having shit knock down power, loads of US troops have reported that Taliban fighters can take a lot of hits and still stay up jus...

just because they're often drugged and their minds don't react to the pain, but their bodies aren't damaged enough to stop functioning.

isn't the AK round a 7.62x39? Its a much larger calliber hence the stopping power. Side by side, the Nato round is tiny.

AK47 is 7.62, AK74 is 5.45

Yeah, the 74 round is actually smaller than the NATO 5.56 in both cartridge length, as well as width.

Its always better to create massive injuries than to kill someone. It ties up more manpower for the enemy.
