i'm planning to get one with an amd a8 or a10 processor (BASED OF FUDGING PRICE, INTEL IS FUDGING EXPENSIVE), and an Nvidia gpu. Oh, and at least 6gb ram. those are my minumum specs

AMD GPUs are far superior. Their newer lineup for early 2014 absolutely trashes Nvidia. Example, the Highest Tier new AMD card has almost TWICE the power of a GTX Titan.

For the Price of a GTX680.

hmmm fair enough, if i can find those parts to put in.

hmmm an amd a8 5600k is £70, not bad for price, it can deal with games i play well. Intel I7's go for well over £200

A Sandy Bridge i5 should be pretty okay,,dunno about price, should have dropped recently.

£185 on amazon...... way too much. I'm looking to only spend max £200. Plus, i can get some parts free like the casing and some other stuff.

"Build a new laptop" is a bit of an oxymoron.

Frizzle, with all due respect, why does everything you do or say just get on my tits?

You need to build a desktop bro, just make one that fits in the smallest case possible with all your parts. You will never get the full pc gaming experience with a laptop, there's too many flaws with em'!!! I was like you 6 months ago but after spending £1200 on building a desktop. I'm so glad I didn't buy a laptop!

Tbh, i'm not really looking for a full gamimg experience, just enough to take what i play. I'm not wanting to play BF4 all day and have a sh*t bucket underneath me.

plus, what annoys me the most about people is that they think everyone has tonnes of cash to burn and that they flush some down the toilet, it won't make a difference.

I don't have £1200 to burn on a pc, the most i will pay is £300, and even 300 is pushing my limit. So I have to scavenge for second hand stuff.

I think there are a few videos on YouTube for building good gaming PCs around 400 quid so 300 should be possible but you've got to keep in mind you might need a monitor and the operating system and everything else which isn't included in the price of the PC build itself.
