Also, it may not seem like it now, but barring the qualifications you get, secondary school DOES NOT MATTER. Mostof the 'cool' kids in my year are either on the dole or are working dead end jobs. The 'nerds' like me are earning piles of cash and living awesome lives, being popular in school does not equate to a happy life!
but it does mean a happy secondary school life. But anyways. I'll maybe consider braces or maybe just moving my canines since they are the biggest problems for now.
When I had braces they were atleast £500 extra if you were private so on the NHS I'd assume they would too. I wouldn't bother unless you're unbelievably self concious
also, in ten years time you're going to look back at yourself and think "jesus, I was a dick back then" if you have braces or not, so you can have the braces and think you were a dick but have straight teeth, or think you were a dick and have crooked teeth that would cost thousands of pounds to straighten.
i was in for it.... but my mums say no...................................................... CAN'T YOU SEE MY TEETH ARE MANGLED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?! WTF
And to be honest... i am a bit self conscious. I care about what I look like to other quite alot... I'm not one of those guys who gets up on a sunday morning and gets the morning paper is what ever. I like to look dignified and smart where ever I go. And braces would damage it a little but i'm not too terribly bothered.
frizzle, surely if you're self conscious you'd want to fix any problems? 2 years with braces and then straight teeth vs 60+ years with crooked ones. the cost - benefit on that one adds up pretty well.
I'd say to go for it. You might not find it that bad like Marcus, and if you hate every second of it, at least you'll end up with straight teeth and it won't cost you anything.
I go to an NHS dentist and the one I go used to be always empty more or less, as it was on the second floor of the building. Now it's moved into an actual shop and it's a bit busier but you just try to go during it's "off-peak" times
I think you're missing my point, in order to go to an NHS dentist, you need to first register with that dentist. Since they're all oversubscribed none of them are accepting new registrations.
yeh, i think i'll do it sometime soon but my mum is not agreeing right now.... she always has to say no to everything. And she says my teeth are fine.....
