Now, are we talking cozy long johns & a string vest or hi tech sights that will destroy your bank account & only get used a couple of times a year?

In the UK you'll get more use from the long johns.

Just think of all the extra pistols and other fancy larp & gear stuff stuff you can play about with constantly with instead of a pretty niche [but still very cool] optic... Or atleast that's how my monkey brain operates.

Yeah, don't bother, spend your dosh on something you will use not something that looks like you bolted a brick to your rifle.
