when there are events on a lot of sites only allow drums on support weapons, as for a regular skirmish it's a tricky one

Difficult to do at regular skirmish, because skirmish is the very casual, open-ended way of playing airsoft where you can largely play how you want with what you want within the rules, and I don't think that skirmish should be putting limits like no drum mags on an AR

However, I go to filmsim events and there are other events that say only support guns are allowed drum mags or they limit everyone apart from support guns to semi-auto only, or do both! I personally enjoy it when it's semi-only for everyone apart from support guns, as it makes support guns very useful and also I think that too many airsofters use full auto as a crutch because they can't shoot very well; accuracy through volume! However, I don't think we should be making skirmish semi-only because it's skirmish.

I've seen a site which allows for support gunners to have longer full auto sprays when mounted on a bipod in a static location and also an increase in the fps from 350 to 370 fps.

Not sure how that holds up on the legal side of things though.

370fps is legal, as the legal limit for full auto is 1.3J and 370fps on a .2 is something like 1.27J. However, the difference in performance between 1.14J and 1.27J is basically non-existent. Longer bursts when deployed is a nice touch though

Limited ammo for a game for ARs , or just no box mags for non LMGs

It's a tricky one.  There aren't that many around, but maybe that's because there's no point to them.

I quite enjoy semi-auto - my local does regular Semi Auto Sundays - but I feel that really benefits DSG Dan and HPA Harry more than the couple of folk who might show up with LMGs.
