OP: your best and most practical option imo is to get a molle belt and a a set of decent pouches- a few shingles, utility, grenade etc

I'm with UTJ, I use ALICE in the exact same set up but I use 2 canteens for balance.

It's comfortable, dirt cheap, strong and easy to get on and off quick for sneaky knife kills.

As far as face protection, there is no best as its all substantial and down to personal taste, i.e what feels best on you, stops fogging, and is suited to where you're playing (glasses may not be the best for cqb for example).

A lower face mesh mask with goggles work's well as you can take it off and drink in game without having to take off your eye pro.
