In terms of the peculiar ordering process. You put what you want in your cart as your would on any conventional webstore and place your order (note that this total will not be including shipping). Then you wait for an email telling you an order reference number, your total including shipping and a PayPal address to send payment to. When sending funds put the order reference number (and any defence information you wish to) in the notes box and jobs a good 'un.
FWIW I will add that the pricing also works out pretty well in the grand scheme of 'PDI barrels are expensive'. I ordered a 285mm 6.05, a 129mm 6.01 and a 113mm 6.01 which came out to about £100 including shipping... and also dodged any additional import fees. From UK/EU suppliers just the 285mm was landing around £70-£80 mark. Is that a lot to spend on barrels? Yup. Do I care? Nope.
Interesting they have added a 6.04 option since the last time I visited that website. Five days is very good from Japan. As regards the spend, the Edgi steel and Airsoft philosopher barrels are even costlier.
I believe they relaunched the wesbite at the start of the year, it's a place I've looked at before but the webite looked decidedly different back then. Aye, I was expecting (and entirely ok with) it to take a few weeks given how knackered shipping is right now so that was a pleasant surprise... not that I can really put them to any use at present.
Yeah, I had an EdGi dual bore in my old SRS. I don't remember the exact price because I picked it up with some other bits but it was definitely into the triple digits for a single barrel. Don't get wrong, beautiful barrel, but in a cost versus effect exercise I'm not sure I'd be looking at getting another.
It doesn't appear you were ? UK does have or it's going to have a free-trade deal with Japan but I don't think that includes VAT. Parcel Force are normally hot on VAT / Duty and clearance fees but let your parcel slide. Result... ?
