painting a gun is always a tricky one to get right, hence my preference for ak's where you can just leave them as their glorious original blue

yeah it is easy to go ott with some paintjobs, personally i quite like having little details unpainted, things like fire selectors, dust covers etc, but each to their own.

totally agree my step sons wanting a total elaborate torn snake skin type camo gah lol,tbf way i looke at it they werent gonna be worrying bout masking shit in the field so thats why i didnt lol my dmr build that will be diffrent ;)

yeah that does make sense, i was thinking more from a "removing functional components before painting" kind of thing.

as with all things in airsoft because you want to is as valid a reason as any other, only time a camo job becomes any kind of issue is when selling because it'll thin down the market to people who like painted guns in that particular style.
