hey duck thought i won the electroboom title after accidentally arc-welding a 3-phase switch together :P

Soz but sticking a pin in puffy Lipo to reduce the puff

then bursting into flames on a stairs carpet & hall

before kicking it out the front door

whilst yelling....

OPEN THE DOOR

OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR

OPEN THE FUCKING DOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR !!!

Wife asks how'd that happen ???

Dunno - think I need to buy some new batteries

as these old one might be a bit dangerous

under breath - especially if some cunt sticks a pin in them

Misery
Misery
please tell me someone didnt do that lol

S
Sitting Duck
some guy that looks very much like me did foolishly do it

in a clear moment of fuckwit madness

anyway...

sounds like your 621 mosfet switch dooberry that is bespoke

has gone a bit tits up...

strip it down, check for wire shorts

but really thought they were a bit more robust than that

it is only a basic mosfet  - no burst/3rnd bollox

so no real big loss

just a pain to replace/go back to old school

or other mosfet dooberry

you need to check wiring for shorts

and if the anything bound causing lockup

which in turn caused unit to crap out

Misery
Misery
yeah ill do that in a bit

aye agreed no big loss there lol

thinking another mosfet a perun v2 isnt breaking the bank and local brick and mortar has em in stock so could collect plus im nearly sold on the pre wired so no soldering required lol and gives me dmr feature aswell for a future build :D

nah nothing bound up the drivetrain is all perfect all moving nice and freely first thing i checked when opened it just incase when gun fired there was no noise or loss of power its just like it would do a cycle then crap out

S

was just about to recommend the perun optical from Airsoft World...

https://www.airsoftworld.net/perun-v2-optical-drop-in-programmable-mosfet-rear-wired.html

or go old school with reg switch & maybe this

https://www.airsoftworld.net/perun-mosfet.html

5% discount code:
AWFF1102312012

plus good price in UK for Perun stuff

(especially if next batches increase with EU shipping)

personally - you might want to get it checked over

perun v2 is nigh on drop in all pre-wired

at like say £57 with 5% off

the "eyelet" where reg trolley switch mounts

well on Cyma's it is a bit larger

but think the Perun's eyelet is quite large to allow

for wiggle room & might just be ok in Cyma's

with any or much work

the only thing to watch for is any casting bits in top of box

often the larger Titan's need quite a bit of work to box top half

removing some material where it might foul/touch the pcb

Perun is smaller and doesn't need a lot work to fit in most boxes

maybe a thin bit of sponge between two halves of unit

if chunky sector risks rubbing on sector sensors

but overall - is probably a cheap drop in fancy mosfet

If your heart is set on one - I'd suggest getting one soon

as the next batches might increase with duty/fees/shipping

and at say £57 - fucking lot cheaper than GATE options

& the budget ASTER might need a little more work

as it is larger like Titan

Both made in Poland, so the next batches imported could see

a slight price rise

yeah its only 60 from my local shop so isnt that much dearer and no wait for it to be delivered lol

yeah thats whats attracting me to it lol

yeah i wont mind if i have to file down some metal that aint a problem lol

you  talking bout casting line/lugs etc? sorry im probs having a blonde moment with that lol

yeah had checked out some reviews on them and was seeing i shouldnt need to but will be prepared just in case will borow my uncles dremel and sandig/grinding bits

aye has the features i want and is pretty much*fingers crossed* drop in cant complain at that

The EYELET where switch bolts into box...

here is old reg Cyma

cyma-electric-switch-for-v2-gearbox-hy-118.jpg

look at the hole/eyelet at top of pic - that is where tiny screw goes

here is a G&G like a SHS replacement switch

g-g-airsoft-gearbox-trigger-power-control-contact-switch-v2-lever-40545-p.jpg

the EYELET on Cyma is bigger coz the box has a mounting ring

now you can't really see it but it has an inner eyelet/ring

on the old 516 box where the switch eyelet slips over

website

you really can't see it but if you use a reg replacement switch

like G&G SHS the eyelet is too small to fit over the ring on lower gearbox case so you need to widen it very very slightly

now on the perun it has a larger eyelet so it should be OK as is

it is weird to explain but the two switch pics should show the different size eyelets and Cyma boxes have the odd qwirk

though tbh I think Perun have allowed for this with a slightly bigger eyelet

it will fit as is or with very very little work I reckon

seems to have a large eyelet like Cyma's

but just pointing this Qwirky Cyma shit out

and reckon Perun v2 optical is a wise choice

get wat you mean now bud sorry total blonde moment lol *funnily enough a natural blonde under the grey llf*

awesome thats what im hoping but im up for a little light modification if need be :)

im glad you think its a wise choice was expecting an ear bashing*jokes* for the upgrade haha :P

also ordering an airbrush tomoz for other projects but will also allow me to paint the guns woohooo im going for a black/extremely dark forrest style camo asked step son what he wanted he said black and white lol

bit long in the tooth to remember hair

I'd be glad of a full head of hair - any colour

£60 to replace the Cyma mosfet is a fair price

if you was considering a £150 Titan or something

then - yeah you'd be fucking nutz on a plastic Cyma M4 maybe

but the mosfet that blew - you'd be hard pushed to find

and even if you found a Jefftron it looked to based on

then it still needs desolder/resoldering in

where as the Perun V2 offers more features

loads more features in fact without breaking the bank

drops in - nigh on

and your old mosfet was just a basic mosfet with no pre-cock

nor no burst or binary trigger etc...

plus it didn't play House of the Rising Sun...

fuck me - he'll live on in our AEG's

and yes he does seem to smiling whilst squeezing out a sneaky fart at the end of the song

fucking awesome toooooooooooooooon by all of them

Misery
